Why Airline Pilots Never Stop Training
Getting hired isn’t the end of training. For an airline pilot, it’s the start of a career of recurrent training, proficiency checks and continuing qualification.
There’s a good reason for it. Simulator training lets crews practise the situations they may rarely or never meet in real flight: engine failures at the worst possible moment, rejected takeoffs, severe weather and system malfunctions that would be far too dangerous to rehearse in an aircraft. Regular practice keeps those skills sharp, so the right response is there when it’s needed.
IATS provides recurrent and proficiency training on Airbus and Boeing full flight simulators in Miami, for individual pilots and for airline and corporate operators.
