ATP-CTP at IATS: What It Covers and What It Costs

Before you can sit the FAA ATP multi-engine knowledge test, you need a graduation certificate from an FAA-approved ATP Certification Training Program. Under 14 CFR 61.156 that means at least 30 hours of academic training and 10 hours of simulator training, with at least 6 of those hours in a Level C or higher full flight simulator.

The academics cover what an airline expects you to understand: high-altitude operations, aerodynamics, automation, adverse weather, air carrier operations, leadership and crew resource management. The simulator work puts that knowledge to use in a real flight deck environment.

Current IATS pricing:

ATP-CTP: $3,500

ATP-CTP + type rating: $10,200 (limited time)

We’ll publish upcoming start dates as they’re confirmed. In the meantime, contact admissions for the next available class: call +1 305-973-7320, message us on WhatsApp at +1 305-924-8304, or use our contact page.
